MOPANE
Mopane, Colophospermum mopane, from Southern Africa is an extremely dense hardwood with a high durability. Reddish Brown in colour with dark stripes this is a beautiful wood with excellent acoustic qualities.
Mopane, plain
The unfinished, turned wood is a medium dark reddish brown with very few gaps in the grain.
Mopane, polished
FInished, the wood has a gloriously rich reddish brown lustre becoming darker with age.
